Condé Nast is an American publisher of the popular culture, fashion, and current affairs magazine Vanity Fair. From 1913 to 1936, Vanity Fair's first edition was printed. The most famous feature of Vanity Fair are its pictures of famous people, which occasionally cause controversy. The publication is also known for its engaging writing, thorough reporting, and perceptive social commentary. Vanity Fair's circulation of more than one million in the first decade of the twenty-first century was supported by an audience that was primarily female.
